Today i will talk about the Linux kernel that can be seen on your smartphone, laptop, tablet or any computing device. So let's get started.
You have seen the kernel name in your Android phone settings option. There is not only the name but it also contains all the information about its version, release date etc. Friends, this is not limited to just your Android phone. Rather, all the computing devices, including your Windows Phone, iPhone, Windows Tablet, Mac etc, where you are running an operating system, there is a kernel required on the hardware. If you take an example of your smartphone then there are a lot of different alarms available in the hardware. For example, your phone's processor, RAM, display, vibration motors, speakers, camera etc. So many such hardware parts are seen on your phone. In the same way your computer also has many types of hardware. So friends, in this situation, we need a system that allows hardware to be used properly and can be accessed to the software. For example, I have a camera app and I installed it on my phone. Now when I turn on the app, the camera app will first want to access my phone's camera. Now, to give this application access to my phone's camera, there will definitely be an authority which can allow. If you talk about taking photos by clicking on the camera application then you will need to use the LED flash of that application. Moreover, when the photo gets up, the app will also need permission to save the photo to your phone's memory. So this is the configuration system we discussed that is the kernel. Friends talk about Android, but it is used by the Linux kernel, which is the same thing as your computer's Linux kernel. But there is a difference in the phone's kernel. Used on Windows Phone, NT kernel and IOS or Apple Mac OS are used in the Durbin kernel. Windows and IOS is a closed operating system. But since Linux is an open source so you can get options to change the kernel. That means you can set up a third party kernel on your phone. This is basically a software that can be easily changed. But in order to do this, your phone will need to be root access and the phone's boot loader is unlikely to be unlocked.
If you do these two things on your phone, you can change your phone's kernel if you want. Now the question is why you want to change or why? There are a lot of third party kernels that help you to get better battery life on your phone and on the other hand you are able to give a much better performance. Kernel is the core core system for any operating system based computing device. And the system has the ability to control all processes.
